  • Research & Innovation Organisations Infrastructure Fund

The £25M grant will fund small to medium sized research infrastructure (equipment and facilities) for the UK’s Research and Innovation Organisations (RIOs) for the FY 23/24. RIOs are key delivery partners in the Research and Innovation (R&I) landscape – providing national capabilities such as in measurement, weather, nuclear energy, agricultural sciences and others. This grant forms part of the government response to Sir Paul Nurse’s Review of the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Organisational Landscape, and is one of many ambitious actions the government is taking to evolve the landscape of organisations performing RDI in the UK to be more diverse, resilient and investable. This scheme is a new funding round of the competition DSIT/BEIS ran in FY 22/23.
